In a follow-up to the 2024 E-Book, FLS has released a fresh two-year reporting period that highlights the changing face of field service challenges.
FLS interviewed management teams at 10 leading UK field service operators, each at the beginning of their optimisation journey. Between them they manage 100,000s of field appointments, countless appointment types, and 1000s of field operatives to complete planned and reactive orders.
As the sector travels through 2025 the priority remains to increase productivity whilst reducing direct and indirect cost. In-day capacity management again tops the potential for optimisation. Reducing field resource travel time, distance, and fuel costs have leapt into the top three placements amongst the new cohort.
