F LS is pleased to announce a new contract to supply the dynamic field service scheduling software solution FLS VISITOUR to G4S Fire & Security Systems. The technical services specialist will upgrade its field force productivity and response capability to enhance operational efficiency for 200 UK maintenance and installation technicians.

The G4S team manages a mix of installation appointments and SLA response-based maintenance tasks to be performed at customer sites, 365 days a year. As part of the solution, G4S will upgrade its Tesseract Service Centre from Asolvi to the latest version. Real-time efficiency gains are planned to raise productivity and customer service outcomes.

Tony Anderson, Operations Director for G4S UK&I said, "Our objective is to refresh our systems with leading technology to manage our service operations and improve our efficiency. Through the use of dynamic scheduling we will be able to replace manual processes for planned and reactive work, with automation that will achieve better routes and faster response times: All whilst still ensuring that the field engineers assigned have the right skills, accreditation, and access clearance."

Managing field services in real-time will deliver benefits across operations, continues Tony, "Customer service is at the heart of everything we do and less time for driving and administration means more time for engineers with customers."

The company undertook a procurement process as Tony explained, "FLS were selected as G4S were impressed by the scheduling capability and links to our existing service platform. The ease of use and interaction with FLS was also another major factor in selection."
